How many times have you actually lost important data? I have lost important data countless of times and I still haven’t learned. I decided to stop being stupid and just go ahead and learn to back-up my files on a weekly basis. Since I like nice looking gadgets, this LaCie Porsche design definitely caught my eye. I’m surprised it hasn’t made any of the best external hard drive lists out there but I’m happy that it’s getting rave reviews despite being unpopular.
I have a macbook pro so the color and design goes really well with my laptop. I actually despise black colored portable hard drives because they’re so boring and everyone seems to have the same colored one. This LaCie hard drive also works well with macs so that’s an added bonus right there. So I guess it’s about time to use my Mac’s time machine finally. I know mac users would roll their eyes at the thought of someone being stupid enough not to back up their files but I’m sure I’m not the only one out there. To anyone else who doesn’t own an external hard drive, the prices are low and it’s so easy to have one shipped to your home. It’s about time we all start backing up our data. Those home videos and family pictures are too precious to lose.
What I love about the lacie portable external hard drive:
- 40% Energy Savings – this one matters because I have a laptop and I don’t want my external hard drive draining my battery too much. With this type of energy savings, I get more battery mileage even if I have the portable drive plugged in on my laptop.
- User-friendly Software – I can backup my PC and mac files easily using the built in software
- Porsche Design – they actually partnered with Porsche just to be able to come up with this design.
- Aluminum build – makes it look nice and defends the drive well

So I’m on a roll here. After finding the coffee cup inverter I then find this cool coffee cup portable speaker. What I like about this is the fact that the cup can actually hold a small mp3 player inside. So you could just have the coffee cup on your table emitting the music with people wondering where that sound was coming from. I was actually looking for the best in ear headphones when I stumbled on this cool gadget.
With a price tag of less than $20 and with awesome reviews at amazon, I again was not able to resist to grab this one. It already includes the audio cable and the cup is capable of holding an ipod nano which is the one I have.
It’s good for listening to music but don’t crank up the sound too much as the speakers may not be made for that. It sure doesn’t replace good in ear headphones but it’s a good alternative especially for those with iPhones. Expect the same quality sound that you find in normal laptop speakers but with the price you’re paying it’s a bit ‘stupid’ to expect very high quality sound from these types of devices. But I can say that these make for great christmas presents.Anyone with an iPhone or mp3 player would certainly find this useful.

If you’re always on the road and need your gadgets charged, this coffee cup inverter is the perfect gadget for you! Add to that the coffee cup design and it makes for a great gift for any coffee lover. I found this over at amazon while searching for car chargers. I didn’t know anyone made anything like these. I often find myself wanting to charge my laptop but didn’t want to fork out money for additional accessories. But since this one isn’t specific to any gadget and can power up anything that can be plugged via sockets or usb, this makes for a great all-in-one power source.
Although I see a few people questioning the quality of the product I still went on purchasing one for myself. How could a coffee lover resist such a thing? Of course I may not use it as often as I predict I would but it’s surely something I’d like inside my car. Best of all, it would perfectly fit any cup holder so it doesn’t make it awkward.

Drinking coffee has tremendously gained popularity around the world. With various coffee shops sprouting everywhere, it’s hard not to make coffee a part of one’s morning ritual. But what few people care about is knowing where their coffee came from. We’re so used in buying them packed or in a cup that we tend to care less about how they are grown or where they were imported from. These types of facts may not be of value to anyone, but it sure is nice to know which countries your coffee came from, well at least for me

I, of course, cannot list all the countries that produce coffee since there are over 80 of them. I will just stick to the countries that are considered to be the larger ones in terms of producing coffee. One thing you need to know is that the higher the altitude the higher the quality of the coffee.
- Brazil – To date, Brazil produces 25% of the world’s coffee supply thereby making them the largest producer. Arabica coffee beans compose of majority of the coffee beans produced in Brazil with harvesting period between march and October. The types of coffee grown here are – Typica, Bourbon, Mundo Novo and Caturra.
- Columbia – Coming in at second place is Columbia producing 12% of the world’s coffee supply. Columbia is known for producing intensely aromatic coffee. They have two harvest seasons one between October and Feb, the next one between April and June.
- Mexico – The coffee beans produced here are generally used for base blending. Not much to say for Mexico but most of their coffee is produced organically on small farms.
- Ethiopia – It’s hard to leave out Ethipoia simply because the coffee they produced are nothing short of unique and fascinating. Ethiopia produces three types of coffee – Harrar, Ghimbi and Sidamo. Of course these are not the only ones produced there but those are the three most common ones. What sets their coffee apart are their rich fruit like tastes coupled with very rich aromas.
Other countries that should also be in the list are Guatemala, Honduras and Indonesia. I have yet to get info from these three so I’ll update this once I get the proper info for each country.
